What's the USE of being a TEACHER...if you can't DISCUSS truth. Fact is, racism is REAL. And it's the TRUTH? . I remember I turned in a teacher years ago who would not teach a portion of the slave trade cuz it minimized or dehumanized white folks hero IMAGE. He just cut it out-saying he didn't have enough time. Bullshyte. He was showing slides of subjects that had absolutely NOTHING to do with colonialism, And he was a HISTORY teacher! But who was told that they were being unreasonable and...

The professor is now being reprimanded. That is structural racism! Hmmm, she’s right but it sounds like she lost her role and relational cool in the mix, maybe helped bring it on by head banging students and directly challenging them to complain. Better ways to teach.

". . . an anti-discrimination lawsuit she and six other professors are filling against MCTC . . ." ************************************************************************** I'm glad that she and other teachers are challenging this school's ignorant, and evidently biased, conclusion. If people are going to teach history [or Social Studies Courses], they need to teach the TRUTH, not fictitious or redacted versions of history. If these students are "offended" by 'structural racism' being...

She doesn't have a problem with white males except when they insist on (angrily) disrupting her lecture. The white males have a problem with her discussing a system that works to their great benefit. Could this situation have been handled better? Yes. The college should have known that the topic would be too sensitive for the 'delicate' ears of some. It should have anticipated the reaction from some students and had a plan to address it when it arose. The college allows her to teach that...

Just last week I sent an email to the President and the DNC suggesting that they needed to mount a campaign that was not only directed towards getting the President re-elected ... but that a very strong initiative should be made to convince ALL voters (even the ones who won't vote for him!!) to vote for the local Democrats in their region ... to give the President the Congress he needs to actually get things done!! In the note to the President I suggested that I thought that the DNC sucked...

Good for you ER and you are on point with what you are saying. I may send one too, we all should. I may express those point via a petition that can be sent to the President and the DNC. If republicans win in November, I do believe that the right and the racist in America are going to do everything in their power to make it even harder to Black people and minorities and Liberals in this country. It will not be pretty for Black people because I can't see many Black people being prepared to...

You know, Sunnubian ... I haven't even tried to imagine what America would look like if Republicans were to win in November!! I don't think there would be much of a problem from the racists - after all, they'd be happy and there'd be no need for them to act a fool any longer!! However ... soooooo many people would be negatively affected. What happens to society as a whole once millions of people stop being able to receive assistance - welfare and food stamps ... once children start getting...

Republicans at risk of losing the House

Republicans at risk of losing the House September 20th, 2012, 10:00am by Sam Wang Conditions through August showed a 2% lead on the generic Congressional ballot for Democrats. As of September 20th, in the wake of the Democratic convention, the lead has widened to 4.0 +/- 2.0%. Although it has yet to be appreciated by pundits, this could well translate to a November loss of the House of Representatives by Republicans. Based on the generic Congressional ballot, the probability of a Democratic...

Why it is sooooooooo important for black unity. I remember whole communities come together for the sake of black children. No more it seems. What the fock happened? I was talking to old hood rat [okay sorry but she made me mad]...about what was going on during those times. And she say....I did this and that to keep those kids from killin' each other. Child...you ain't went through what I've been through. " And I look at her....first I counted...then I say..."every body's experience is...

The racist corporate establishment knows this, which is why they told their political servants to stop creating policy that invests in rank and file Americans. They want a permanent working poor class and a permanent criminal class too so they may profit from despair while white people are lifted and given more opportunities through white privilege.

Now this is a prime example of why there has to be UNIFICATION . She probably really believes she did all she could, but she was only one person. With UNIFICATION of a family, and/or group and/or community, when it's obvious that what she is/was doing is not working, there is someone else to step in with ideas, influence, time, wisdom. advice, or some de facto "scared straight" psychology or realism where deviant/troubled young males/ youth are concerned. The self-centered attitude of...
