Regardless of the consideration for what is the "right" or "wrong" way to decide ... I wouldn't expect this Supreme Court to side with the Obama Administration on this issue. It would be different if the SC were truly an unbiased, non-partisan judicial body. But, they're not! They are split down politically-biased lines - with the Conservatives in the majority - and I believe that is the way most of their decisions will fall. I think the 2000 selection of GeeDubya as president proved that.

I think that it will go as it always does by the SCOTUS: a 5 to 4 decision leaning in the postitve for the individual states (mainly the red states) to inact their version of AZ immigration law and I agree with ER, the lawsuit that's being brought by the POTUS cannot be a watered down defense just to appeal for votes but a very strong defense and alternative to what AZ proposes since AZ has the advantage in this since they developed their laws (no matter how racist) and are actually...

I was disappointed to hear what the Justice Department and Obama have decided to do, but I understand their move. If the federal government had done their job (Reagan, Bush 43, Clinton and Bush Jr), Arizona would not have had to make such a law. The thing is...they have been looking for this killer for years-25 to be exact. They already had his DNA from the victims he killed but he wasn't in the DNA data base. When they swab his son as a matter of law[for a felony] and put it in the data base, they were SURPRISED that was a relative match....meaning not him but some male in his family. Bingo for the victims' families who've had to MAKE LAPD reopen the cases....cuz they were sitting on their asses [even when a victim(who got away)...

I was watching a couple shows this week that dealt with veterans and PTSD issues. One was intervention. A kid who went to Iraq while serving in the Marines comes home and starts to drink 1 bottle of vodka a day. While being interviewed for the show, he begins to punch himself in the head and you can see scuffs and scratches on his knuckles. Reference: I thought to myself, instead of trying to get this guy to a fancy expensive rehab in Florida, get him over to his regional VA hospital for free treatment and assess him for disability. He's absolutely entitled. The problem with this is that the VA/government has refused to diagnose vets like him with PTSD. They call it something else or just ignore it all together. It's sick and sadistic, if you ask me. Both as the government and as a health facility ... refusing to help people...

Instead of stifling the grassroots local NAACP chapters from addressing issues central to their constiutents, the NAACP is focused too much on these types of issues and giving nothing more than lip service. You must remember these artist today have clothing lines, record labels, drinks, endorsements and very expensive ticket sales. They also have properties, investments, and night clubs!
