Okay Yssys, Of all the myths to be purged, that one is at the top of my list; not for the other folk, but among ourselves. I've found that it gets in the way of us getting there together. I've experienced Black women working themselves literally to death, believing that if they don't do it, it won't get done. Except in most cases, there were men in their lives willing and able to share the burden.
