This is the biggest and most foul pile of BS ever to come out of a criminal justice system. Before this garbage, crime statistics were the biggest. People like to use crime statistics to prove that blacks are pre-disposed towards crime. But crime statistics are NOT records of crimes, the ARE records of convictions. That's all, nothing else. The only thing that crime statistics prove is who's going to prison. It doesn't even come close to a record of crimes being committed. There a millions...

The issue that I have is our country is in trouble with the economy. Underemployment is up as well as the chronically unemployed. Neither of these groups are being counted in unemployment statistics. If you don't file for unemployment, you are also not counted in unemployment statistics. Gasoline is almost $3 a gallon in some places, home heating costs have gone through the roof, which has made things from electricity and goods more costly. So the economic outlook of the common man is bleak.

Have to agree with you on this one, EP. For the most part, colleges and universities are institutions of conformity. I say this with some insight, having worked at UCSF in administration for eleven years. In general, colleges and universities are a mirror of the values of society. And in this society, the reflection is capitalism and power. For US colleges and universities, government funding, corporate funding, private grants, and alumnae contributions, pretty much spell status quo.

The schools dumbing down kids video was made in 1992. What do you bet they haven't improved much in Pennsylvania since then. There isn't that much useful visual information in the video, just one computer generated graphic near the beginning which is readable and some overhead projections she puts up later. The overhead projections are unreadable in the video. So the sound delivers all of the relevant info. I am in the process of converting it to an MP3 file. umbra

Nope, it's not immoral. What's immoral is the record companies coming out with CD's of watered down talentless artists. An individual must first be doing the right thing themselves before they can even begin to question the authority, civil and/or criminal wrongdoing of police officers. In each of these instances the suspects as depicted were caught in the act of violating the law and were combative when the police attempted to arrest them. These individuals were combative to the extent that they aimed to inflict bodily injury on a peace officer, to which in this instance they contributed to their own deaths.
