UN, Great post and great story. I read all 76 comments that people from all over the world made about this story and all of the comments were very positive. Some of the comments reported similar stories like these two: "I am the proud grandmother of 4 wonderful children 2 boys and twin girls and yes the twins are very different, they look exactly like these girls, so not surprising to hear that my son is mixed race and so is his wife. My son is mixed race West Indian and my daughter in law...

Racial Violence Behind Bars - Time For Straight Talk Between the Black and Latino Communities By Anthony Asadullah Samad The violence that has taken place between Black and Latino inmates in the Los Angeles (and now Riverside and San Bernadino) County Jails has caused both the black and Latino communities to take inventory of their relationship. Future relations will require candor, honesty and some historical reflection that has allowed them to peacefully co-exist for 500 years. Black...

I guess that time I spent in Alabama last week effected my proof reading skills, what I meant was that if after I warned my boss about how unsafe the location was and then I still sent people to that location despite how dangerous the location was, yes he should fire my stupid ass. At the very least knowing my boss he would ask me what the freak was I doing. Its kinda like throwing folks from the fire into the frying pan. How many times did Jamie Foxx sing "Georgia" outside of the film role he played?? I'm not saying he should sing the song, I'm saying if you play the role of a pimp, you can expect BS like that to come your way. And frankly I'm tired of roles like this being nominated as outstanding by the Academy. I recall Denzel, after many playing outstanding roles, getting an Oscar for "Training Day" where he plays a crooked cop who commits all sorts of crimes. I'll just say we'll agree to disagree on...

I personally don't believe it's the roles themselves that win awards. Denzel had many stunning preformances, but Training Day was definately one of his best, IMO, because he absolutely nailed it. It also has to do with how broad an audience the film reaches. Denzel's preformance in Malcolm X was also one of his best, but how many people saw it outside of the Black community?

That seems a bit unreasonable. You want the followers to come together and then search for something, anything to follow? The message has to be there first. There has to be something for us to unite for or against or around. You can't just put everyone in a room and then say "Okay folks, now that we're all here, let's pick something to be about." Maybe someone with some vision and intelligence and charisma should step up to the plate instead of waiting to be plucked from obscurity by a group...

French Student Riots by Thomas Sowell (March 17, 2006) Student riots in Paris remind us that education at elite academic institutions is not enough to teach either higher morals or basic economics. Not on their side of the Atlantic or on ours. Why are students at the Sorbonne and other distinguished institutions out trashing the streets and attacking the police? Because they want privileges in the name of rights, and are too ignorant of economics to realize that those privileges cost them...

We'll never get everything we want but we can get a lot. "The People" really do have the power but you have to be willing to make people uphold what they say.
