What in the Bible forbids the owning of slaves? It's acknowledged as a practice in both the New and Old Testaments. And nothing I'm aware of forbids the practice per se. You might argue that the Bible would enjoin Masters to treat their slaves well. But what forbids them from owning slaves to begin with? See the Pauline Epistle Philemon, in which an escaped slave is encouraged to return to his owner and the owner is entreated to be forgiving. Nothing there condemns slavery. If anything,...

Some emotions thus produce an instinctive reaction, such as fear producing the action resultant of fight or flight. This is why this nation always embarks upon a campaign of demonizing an entity in order to...

Great post Noah! We don't allow ourselves to see other black people as being "black like us" and vice versa. Often times the majority of our people are suffering from the sames types of issues and don't even know it because there is a certain amount of disconnect. Some of the disconnect is external and some is internal. If we overcome the internal disconnect, we can definitely overcome the external disconnects.

I believe you can get the RU486 combination from any doctor who can establish how far along you are and treat you if something goes wrong, which is pretty dodgy. I don't think the demand for it is very strong here. I think surgical abortions are much safer and much more reliable and less stressful/traumatic on the woman.
