Re: EXAMPLE OF HOW AFRICA IS THE WORLD'S 'WELFARE CHECK'

Conflict free gold or diamond or drug or chocolate or oil or shoes or hardware sourcing is hard to enforce. Crime is here to stay. Leaders don’t care about people – and people cannot unite. The system is corrupt because humans are greed-blinded animals. I always say, start a project with 3 to 4 people. It could be a for profit business that helps others. It’s hard to get cooperation with 3 to 4 people. That’s project enough. IMHO, of course!

I whole-heartedly agree. But the article, and so many I've read just like them, lets me know that if Africa could somehow close the continent off from the rest of the world, the entire world, especially all of "white supremacy" and imperialism, would go bankrupt, and Europe/the White race would be takeN back, once again , into the 'dark ages'. I mean, what is the world, what does the world have if you subtract ALL African resources, all African intervention and influence historically, [which...

That's a great title. Africa and Africans are the world's welfare check. They can not and could not LIVE with both. I agree they would be entering the dark ages again. But it is because of Africa....and African people they exist in the horrible way that they do. However, now that we know....this is power. So we should use this piece of knowledge to empower the rest of the black population that thinks we are subservient.....there's nothing SUB about us. In fact, we are above reproach. And...

State of mind is powerful and can be limiting. Cooperation makes sense. Humans don’t. A core union of African states could work together to support all member states to take back sovereign control of their resources and renegotiate all deals for the cultural, financial and developmental benefits of each nation state and its citizens. When you own resources like that, you could cut a far far better deal. Not happening. WYSIWYG What I do with that is go back to what I do…. work in a 3 to...

Why Nobody Cares About Congo JIMMIE BRIGGS 6 hours ago Lack of U.S., world efforts to stop brutal war in Congo shows devaluation of African lives The views expressed in this Op-Ed do not necessarily reflect those of Loop 21. Sitting in front of a lukewarm mug of cocoa at an eerily quiet hotel restaurant in west London yesterday, I couldn’t help staring at an image in a local tabloid newspaper. It was a color photograph of a young Congolese boy staring toward the sky, with wide, delirious...

Lil Wayne Jail Sentencing POSTPONED For Dental Work. Diamonds Must Be Removed From Teeth

Cholly ·
NEW YORK — After rap star Lil Wayne spent months bidding farewell to his fans and his freedom, what loomed for him Tuesday was a dental chair, not a house of detention. His sentencing in a weapons case was postponed so he could have dental surgery before going to jail. Lil Wayne, one of music's biggest sellers and rap's hottest stars, is now due to be sentenced on March 2. His plea deal calls for a one-year term in a city jail, though good behavior could shave that to about eight months. The...

Concer became something of a celebrity, at least locally, it is because he was on board and played a role when the whale ship Manhattan, captained by Mercator Cooper of Southampton, made history in 1848. At the time, foreigners were forbidden to enter Japan but...

There are two statements that make me wonder about this. The first I don't disagree with, the second (in light of the first) makes me wonder about good intentions and genuine concern being used. A commonality I've found among those who seriously discuss those issue continent wide are concerns (and outright distrust of most) of what's called R2P. The question raised is does R2P mean, Responsibility to Protect or Right to Punish? Whenever there's a call for U.S. (read formal colonial powers)...

Give me a few days to revisit this. I'll try and dig up some articles/lectures on this issue. Every now and again, the subject comes up in a much more clear fashion, (ie the invasion of Libya and then Secretary of State Clinton's "warning" while in Africa about Chinese...

He had to get that surgery. Otherwise, we would be hearing that Li'l Wayne is wearing dentures, because the inmates pulled out his diamond-crusted teefuses with a pair of pliers.

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time? I would have sent him straight to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200.
