Personally, I believe there is some truth to this...especially the part where the author advised men to "never listen to what a woman says -- always pay attention to what she actually does instead." There have been plenty of studies done on racial disparities on medical treatment. SOME have shown that even Black practitioners provide a lower standard of care to Black patients. In my view it has to do with the amount of insurance that is available to the individual based on the job that they work, the general standard of the medical facility itself (as compared to one in a more wealthy facility and YES plain ole racism. nikcara, You have more than one point in your post. I will try to address them, but I hope you can forgive me if I miss one or two. Do we have differing definitions of "Christian"? What is a Christian to you? Yes, Christians do differ on issues, but they differ usually because they've started from different points of view. I only have one problem with this. By my understanding, racism is simply a specific form of prejudice. At its core, its no different than classism or sexism. The question is "What is the bias?" not "Is there a bias?" For a person to say they are not racist, they are saying that they are not prejudice, that they do not pre-judge.
