I'm not anti-fasting but it does need to be done carefully and mindfully. Just fasting to release toxins and going back to a crappy diet is a waste of time. As a kick start to a new healthy eating regime it's good. You need to ease into and exit a fast with a lot of care. And a fast IMHO should only last 8hrs, not several days. No, no, just responding to the topic in general, although I do love the "proto-Fascist" label It's sad how detached the Democratic party is to black people, but again the alternative is much worse. That 2 percent statistic was from an NBC poll done in October (I think) where they reported the black approval rating. Yes Bush may have gotten the better of the margin of error concerning black voters, but whatever boost he had is certainly gone today.

The concept of "threat" is a dynamic one. I think part of the problem is that Bush seems to apply standards selectively - which naturally creates questions about motivation and truthfulness. In Iraq - where it appears that whatever threat that existed was being "managed" via inspections, no fly zones, economic sanctions, etc. - we invade a country/topple a government/sacrifice American lives, etc., etc. Yet in North Korea where the threat would appear to be significantly greater, and more...
