Black History Year...Every Year

EarthAndSky ·
Have we, as a people, settled for a measly 28 days (29 during Leap Years) of Black history? Do we believe just one month is good enough to tell our story, a story that still hasn't been told or been given the justice it deserves? Do we want our history to continue being marginalized? Are we satisfied that Black History Month often just focuses on slavery; the Jim Crow Era; the accomplishments of our black brothers and sisters in the fields of entertainment and sports; the Civil Rights...

Interesting article but I have to say as much as I don't like 2 Chains and that whole style of rap, Black commentators have to step their game up. Using random "shock value" quotes from any artistic work (including but NOT limited to rap) without addressing what the art is reflecting is weak and lazy writing and argumentation. There are too many Black authors who are justifiably upset, but looking to score cheep and easy points by using a tone of condemnation toward the very people they (and...

Let them continue to be stupid enough to celebrate the fact that rich land owners used poor white people to fight and die so that they (the rich land owners) could keep their slaves and continue to hold Africans hostage in this country to maime, mutilate, beat and murder free labor out of them. African Land Grab: Acres for a Bottle of Scotch By Bruce Krasting Jun 11, 2011, 9:19 AM Author's Website Everyone who eats is aware that agricultural prices have been on a tear the past few years. With this has come a sharp increase in the value of arable land. Deep topsoil farmland in Iowa has changed hands as high as $11,000 an acre recently. That’s up from about $6,000 just a few years ago. The shortage of arable land has gone global. Africa has seen an explosion of activity since 2008.

I know this will disappoint you but most slave women were not raped. The one drop rule was a ruse to bring over anyone as slaves who were not deemed "negroes". Again if we go by your mythology, AAs are an inbred race. Given that most slaves were men and the fantasy is that what women there were, were raped and impregnated. Ask anyone with brains and they will tell you that (1. rapists don't stop with one act of rape and (2. rapists don't stop with one victim. Therefore accordingly, AA men...
