Well, just accept that Black women will not change and therefore Black men need to take responsibility for that and change to accomodate that. If Black men did not date these women who were Stuck On Stupid amd clueless, they would not be that way. They should not be expected to do those things of their own free will. Pre-1970, Black men did not seek out and put up with women who were clueless or unappreciative of their achievements. Sure Black women could chose to act responsibly and/or...

From all the back and forth that we – black men and women – do, it would appear that can be said for both sides. One rule I think all people should follow is "Don't ask of others what you are not willing or able to do yourself in return". I always find it funny see a fat, bald, bad dressing brother who has his mind set on dating a super model. We can get a beer belly and look like a dressed up Easter egg but let woman put a little baby weight and men are ready to trade them in. And then you...

Personally, I believe there is some truth to this...especially the part where the author advised men to "never listen to what a woman says -- always pay attention to what she actually does instead." I would modify that to say that as a guy, one should not only hear or listen to what a woman says but also observe and keep note on what she does...much more telling and true. As to the role of money and the need for sex as items of attraction women see in men...both are factors but I think it is...

"Women think with their vaginas"???? Puh-leeeeeeeze.... YOUNG women, maybe... who tragically, mistakenly think they don't have anything else to offer. Women with sense (and class) do NOT think this way AT ALL. Clearly, the author has unresolved issues, no doubt fueled by chasing some woman who didn't give him the time of day after he had his way with her and bought her groceries. My brother once remarked that men are basically uncomplicated: "We want food, football and sex, sis. Sometimes...

Sometimes the two concepts confused in this discussion (not this one specifically but this issue) is linguistic gender and biological sex. One cannot argue from the first to the second. A very funny treatment of this and several other like issues in language can be found in Mark Twain's essay "The Awful German Language." Seriously, however, in languages where every noun is assigned a gender (which is most of them. Interestingly, English has rid itself of almost all gender-references, and yet...

Silly Question but what does this mean and why? What if his goal is to do a honest day's work, take care of his home, wife, and children to the best of his abilities? This sounds a little like the phrase "I'll date a man with potential". I HATE that phrase. To me the person is saying, "I really don't accept you as you are but will if you become what I think you can become". Maybe that's why families and children are such a mess these days. If you are going to stand by your values, then ONLY DATE men who share your values. That is, men who are committed to remaining a virgin until marriage. Unless that individual is interested in one day marrying you, I think it's little unfair to expect someone who is sexually-active and who enjoys an active sex life to conform to your...

I agree with Rowe, even though you might be in the minority, you must stand by your ideas. Look to date men that share your beliefs... they are around... there are probably more virgin men by choice than you realize. However, it would be difficult, not impossible for someone that is already sexually active to be expected to wait for marriage to have sex (again). Joining Christian singles groups does not guarantee you will meet a man that will want to abstain from sex until marriage.
