I don't think Oswald killed JFK. I don't think James Ray killed Martin L King, but enjoyed taking the credit for it. I don't think those two brothers who served time for killing Malcolm X were responsible for his death. I can't even say that the government had anything to do with their deaths. I think all of these assassinations were set up and orchestrated by the CIA, an organization that has access to all of our tax dollars and doesn't even fall under the jurisdiction of the U.S.

Sure any art form is a mirror. If hip hop were confined to lyrics printed on canvas hanging in a museum, then it would reflect, and reflect only. But commercial electronic media, as I'm sure you know, completely change the equation. Success in the media goes to those who know how to use the media to impact people's perceptions and interests. This is an elementary concept, understood since at least 1960, when JFK won the presidency largely because he was more photogenic and looked into the TV...

My visceral reponse to the quagmire of 'illegal immigration' inclines me to take the notion that the US of Amrika is again witnessing 'the chickens coming home to roost' as so eloquently illustrated by Malcolm X at the assination of JFK. For as long as I can remember, our so-called government has enjoyed a somewhat unspoken, converted, defacto agreement with the people of central america (not just the mexicans). Essentially, they would (used to be call 'seasonal workers) come, pick the...

It's very simple. Most of the people in the Red states were historically Democrat and black folks were historically Republican. It wasn't until JFK and LBJ came along that blacks started voting Democrat en masse. Those former southern Democrats or Dixiecrats, later voted for Reagan, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr., and became full-fledged Republicans. Basically voting in the party that most black folks won't side with.

Somehow we refused to acknowledged the betrayal of Republicans with their sacrificing African Americans to the will and control of...

I stand corrected. FDR was the first President that black folks did vote en masse. However, some blacks vote for Republican presidents like Eisenhower and Nixon, who both had more black votes than what Bush Jr. received in 2000 and 2004 elections. Nevertheless, blacks have consistently voted Democrat en masse for the last 40-70 years.
