Quoted from the article, these are things that Republicans are suing Democrats for: It's pretty pathetic that this is the best that black conservatives can do. The fact is that above and beyond any party affiliations, it is conservative ideology that was behind everything listed above. What does that say about conservatives that they are attacking Democrats because of their previous conservative positions?

nikcara, You have more than one point in your post. I will try to address them, but I hope you can forgive me if I miss one or two. Do we have differing definitions of "Christian"? What is a Christian to you? Yes, Christians do differ on issues, but they differ usually because they've started from different points of view. They have different conclusions about the world to begin with, thus they have certain differences in their worldviews, which is part of the point that I made originally.

(1) Is this taking into account another 100 years of Jim Crow? (2) It's controversial exactly what Lincoln and the Union troops were sacrificing for - i.e., was it to end slavery or was it to preserve the Union? And there were also non-altruistic reasons for white northerners to oppose slavery. For example, many white northern industrialists feared that if the south industrialized that it would have a tremendous competitive advantage due to access to a huge pool of free slave labor. By Sunnubian I am not sure where you practice law, but in NJ, child support is calculated based on both incomes, thereafter, the non-custodial parent, pays in cash or check directly to the cusotidal parent or to the child support office[in NJ it is called the Probation Department], who converts the cash into a check that is either deposited directly into the custodial parent's account or mailed to him or her. The Custodial Parent has the discretion to spend the money as he or she see fit.

Well, technically, the Scientific Method itself is Trial and Error. The method is "I think such and such", the try it out, and then make a conclusion based on the facts gathered from experimentation (trial and error). Democracy was a trial and error form of goverment when tried by the Europeans (they had not had it since Greek times). But, I get the intention of your post.

So, the South is growing faster economically. Does that necessarily mean the North is getting poorer? No, because there's not a fixed pie. Both regions can grow at the same time. In order for it to be zero sum, you'd have to prove that they cannot both grow at the same time . Good luck with that. First, who "isn't in the game"? Second, what losers are you talking about? People who lose their jobs? Resources shift and people gain and lose jobs. That alone does not make it a zero-sum game. In...

Toussaint. What you fail to consider is that everything is relative. Lets say that an area has a million residents and normative levels of population growth. Lets now say that there is little job growth, despite a growth in population. The net effect of that is that the economic health of the region is deteriorating, despite not losing any jobs, but because they are not gaining any jobs. This is why despite job growth under the Bush administration, his tenure is considered a poor performance...

And, thus the end of our Constitutional Democratic Republic. Make sense?---K4R I think I get it. Thanks. Your suggestion of constitutional failure is based on the SCOTUS agreeing that The Office of the President is not answerable to Congress. That failure in your scenario is not based on the Congressial act of censure per se. Feingold's 'petition' for cnesure, if answered, could end with the censuring of the President.
