I know I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but Clinton got those applause because he deserved them. The only thing Bush deserves is a swift kick in the teeth, and no body knows that better than African-Americans. He should have done what he did with the NAACP in 2004 and just declined the invitation. Or, we could have learned our lesson and not invited him at all. I don't think Ms. King would have missed him.

Well the way I've heard it from older Cubans is that there was a back door deal with Cuba to allow their people to come into the U.S. My point is that things aren't always what they seem. Unlike the Haitians who have always had trouble with the U.S., they couldn't make a sweetheart deal like that and they are a black country. Back in those days they had to keep black folks in their "place". So Haiti was never gonna get her just due....unless she takes it. Which is exactly what Haitian people...

I'm not a guy but I'd like to say they are definitely still out there! It happens to me every day. My co-worker is a sweetheart. I work fast food and there is always competition to get the fries, get the burgers, etc., to complete our orders. He always makes sure I have everything I need, forfeiting his fries and whatever else to make sure I can get my order finished, even if it means he has to wait. He always puts me first and opens any door that I may be trying to enter or exit.
