Yeah! I agree! And don't forget to include the likes of Dresser Industries, Oryx Energy, Bayard, Sedco-Forex and all those honkey-owned companies providing drilling equipment and services to the Nigerians. And what if the equipment breaks down? Heck, no problem! Surely, some budding black inventor will figure out an alternative (non-white) method to extract the oil from the ground. Re: Can A White-Owned Company Market Honestly To Us?

I'm inclined to go along with negrospiritual but in this regard. Can they express in exact proportions how to reach us as we would reach us? NO. They will show us colored folk using a product they want to sell so that it will or can appeal to white America. Do they have to market to us in the way we would market to us, the answer is no. They don't have to. They know that most of us believe the white man's ice is colder so if they have a product and Shanta puts some in her mouth and smiles,...

I'm not sure I agree with Lea that it was an overreaction. I agree more with Negrospiritual's assessment. No way in these modern times can a person use or hear the word "niggardly" without thinking about the N-word, which is probably the most painful word in the English language. Even though the words are unrelated, they sound related enough. Here's a similar example to illustrate the point: There are two classic rap records from 1994. One is "Juicy" by Notorious B.I.G., & the other is...

Memories of grade school. The nuns at my school had this record about George Washington Carver and they would occasionally bring a portable phonograph to class and play it for us. It got to the point where I would think, "Oh no! They are going to play that thing about George Washington Carver AGAIN !" Make a big deal about the person but never actually teach any science. Where did he learn science himself, before he started doing it that is? Xum
