Of course I expect MBM to follow up with a reply to the effect that "I am right" that Black people are savages or thugs or something foolish such as this. To the people of Washington DC who have defended Marion Barry, seeing him as a victim of a conspiracy by Whites who don't want him in power, working on behalf of the poor in DC this must be tantamount to Rosa Parks getting robbed in her home despite asking the thug "Do you know who I am" and he not caring . Things are NOT going to change...

So...will things change as a result of your strategy....which is: 1) Blame everything on black liberals 2) Ignore incidents of police brutality and racism against blacks 3) Lobbying to increase the number of blacks who don't vote democratic. 4) Ignoring that the present is the summation and creation of the past. 5) being an UNCLE TOM or a white man pretending to be black how does that strategy HELP?

Girl I have been talking about Ms. erykah and her live show for a while. I believe I mentioned it on here a couple of times. I would have loved to see her for new years. She put on the best live show I have ever seen. I saw her once at the essence festival and once at the house of blues in new orleans and she tore the roof down both times. I was in tears at essence. She had a way of really drawing you in, it was almost like a religious experience. I got so emotional, all I could do is sing...

I think we know the tricks and games of our own gender in more detail. For example, I am usually a better judge of character when it comes to the women my male friends/relatives are dating than they are. Some people are obvious, but there are often times when I have pegged a girl for being a gold digger or 'ho' or just plain coniving way before they have a clue.

It's really difficult to determine what women are attracted to. True story: I was on the bus. This fine-looking Puerto-Rican girl came on; she had these large, seductive, blue eyes; voluptuous - full luscious tits, big round hips and an ass to match. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. So,as she walks down the aisle, we make eye-contact. I smiled at her. And she? She rolled eyes-clearly annoyed, as if to say: "nigga PUH-LEEEEAAASE...don't even think about!!" Now, I admit, I'm never gonna make the cover of...

Oversimplified and nothing new. Think Positive? Most men have found out one of life's little secrets – women like confident men. But when constantly faced with dealing with rejection, how long before chinks in the armor start to show. Men have self esteem issues also. I personally think that many of those that appear to have great self confidence i.e. I'm a pimp/player mentality are masking low self esteem issues. And adding to your response, I would like to say that, again, not every failed relationship that a Black woman experiences is the result of her selecting 2-bit hustlers, drug dealors, and losers off the streets. Educated brothers and sisters, with good heads on their shoulders, experience failed relationships too! And no one wakes up in the morning to say, "You know what, today, I want to pick the wrong person for me." Usually, both men and women, will not discover that someone is "wrong"...

OK, I see the how you distinguish the two, although there does seem to be a bit of gray area. For example, is being anti-homosexual a social or poltical issues? It seems social, IMO, but if the last wave of election count for anything, the right sure played it like a political issue. You say that political conservatives are diametrically opossed to the Black majority. The only issues I can think of now are AA and death penalty reform. What are the others?

Dear Art-girl, My understanding of the difference in the pigmententation btw the various racial groups lies in the relative amounts of melanin in the melanocytes that lie in the skin. It has been said that everyone has the same number of melanocytes (melanin producing cells) but the ones in darker complexioned folks produce more of the dark pigment melanin...which in my opinion would confirm the commonality of man as one race and the varying amounts of melanin being reflective of the region...

Frenchy, I think I hear ya. But the "attractive attorney" or "doctor" and the "pretty boy" may be just other versions of "Denzel": widespread cultural ideals of what we're "supposed to want".
