Conflict free gold or diamond or drug or chocolate or oil or shoes or hardware sourcing is hard to enforce. Crime is here to stay. Leaders don’t care about people – and people cannot unite. The system is corrupt because humans are greed-blinded animals. I always say, start a project with 3 to 4 people. It could be a for profit business that helps others. It’s hard to get cooperation with 3 to 4 people. That’s project enough. IMHO, of course!

I whole-heartedly agree. But the article, and so many I've read just like them, lets me know that if Africa could somehow close the continent off from the rest of the world, the entire world, especially all of "white supremacy" and imperialism, would go bankrupt, and Europe/the White race would be takeN back, once again , into the 'dark ages'. I mean, what is the world, what does the world have if you subtract ALL African resources, all African intervention and influence historically, [which...

That's a great title. Africa and Africans are the world's welfare check. They can not and could not LIVE with both. I agree they would be entering the dark ages again. But it is because of Africa....and African people they exist in the horrible way that they do. However, now that we know....this is power. So we should use this piece of knowledge to empower the rest of the black population that thinks we are subservient.....there's nothing SUB about us. In fact, we are above reproach. And...

State of mind is powerful and can be limiting. Cooperation makes sense. Humans don’t. A core union of African states could work together to support all member states to take back sovereign control of their resources and renegotiate all deals for the cultural, financial and developmental benefits of each nation state and its citizens. When you own resources like that, you could cut a far far better deal. Not happening. WYSIWYG What I do with that is go back to what I do…. work in a 3 to...

Stop the austerity train wreck November 21, 2011 Photo: AP Photo/Cliff Owen The biggest question right now on Planet Washington is whether the congressional supercommittee will reach an agreement. That’s the wrong question. Agreement or not, Washington is on the road to making budget cuts that will slow the economy, increase unemployment and impose additional hardship on millions of Americans. The real question is how to stop this austerity train wreck, and substitute the following: FIRST:...

This is no more than Racist Code euphemism rhetoric for 'Black mothers' disguised as being inclusive of all "unwed" mothers. Racist right-wing politics painted the face of "unwed" mothers as being Black women and unleashed a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy Propaganda campaign onto their children via Hollywood, the media and the music industry decades ago in this country. So, I wonder how all the unwed mothers that work everyday or work two or three jobs everyday and pay taxes fill about his blanket...

What about their 150 out of so-called "wed-lock" children and their 15 to 20 wives at the same damn time? Every now and then you can read about some fool that married his dog or cat. The writer is misinformed. ADOS is not about dividing the Africans that were enslaved by other countries. The purpose is to focus on the legitimate claim of Africans in America that have been enslaved here, built this country, and are due reparations. If the descendants of Caribbean slave nations want to file a claim against their former colonizer, they can and should do so on their own. This matter has been brought to the spotlight because the Democratic Party just get free votes from Black...

I must admit that the writer's point was confusing to me, in that it accuses this movement (ADOS) of tribalsim, supposedly, it appears, because ADOS is only advocating for Reparations for descendants of American slaves. However, from the beginning, each Black nation has demanded Reparations from their perspective former enslavers/colonizers, etc. So, . . .

Obviously, possessing good mental health is not a requirement to be a politician. But this article touches on several things, how people paid with taxpayer's dollars abuse their positions, often to the detriment of the poor, and especially to children. It also touches on how the Right is doing everything in their power to "privatize" every government agency so they can fleece revenue from states and the federal government. It is also exposing how right-wing politicians try to legalize and/or...
