Articles like this always leave me amazed. The author shows great effort to be comprehensive in the assessment of the effect of segregation, Jim Crow, racism, etc. The list never, ever, includes the gutting of the Voting Rights Act. I have nothing against Black Conservatives personally, but I really dislike the way they have the tendency to downplay race matters in America. They seem to deny the problems in America, particularly for Blacks and act as if America is some sort of "heaven on earth".
