Re: Extremism Normalized: How Americans Now Acquiesce to Once Unthinkable Ideas

I agree. You have no idea of how many crazy letters I have received from white males while working for government agencies. The scariest one was when a cracked up cracka called my desk phone talking about how the government had placed spies in his kitchen cabinets. He didn't just call once, BUT several times. Then there are the letters from the people who have to demean every ethnic, sexual orientation, race and religious group other than WASPs. They are also sick in the head. This is an...

I must say that it is certainly curious that NASA scientists do not have any curiosity about 9/11. They can land a robot on Mars which involved all sorts of calculations relating to Newtonian Physics and do all kinds of sophisticated programming but they exhibit no curiosity about a measly airliner totally destroying a skyscraper 2000 times its own mass in less than two hours. But then NASA is part of the government and depends on higher ups for funding. Anybody rocking the boat would catch...

It's beyond insanity when human beings have to drop bombs and shred people into spaghetti on a mass scale to obtain mucho money and get their point across to fellow human beings. There are no words for that crap and it's been going on endlessly. The men of the world don't even have minds anymore. They're sicker than sick and dangerous as hell. Try talking to folks for a change. God didn't send us here with bombs, but he did provide vocal chords.

Re: US senators consider using secret court to vet targeted killing list

Oh. So a Black President shouldn't be able to issue a "death warrant" against a so-called "citizen" - who happens to enjoy killing other Americans. But a committee of White men deeming themselves as a "court" .... should?? ? Well ... that IS the 'American way" isn't it??

Published on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 by Salon.com Extremism Normalized: How Americans Now Acquiesce to Once Unthinkable Ideas by Glenn Greenwald Remember when, in the wake of the 9/11 attack, the Patriot Act was controversial, held up as the symbolic face of Bush/Cheney radicalism and widely lamented as a threat to core American liberties and restraints on federal surveillance and detention powers? Yet now, the Patriot Act is quietly renewed every four years by overwhelming majorities in both...

US senators consider using secret court to vet targeted killing list Washington : DC : USA | Feb 10, 2013 at 2:28 PM PST By northsunm32 The idea is that a secret court would consider evidence that a suspect should be on a targeted killing list and hence could be attacked by a drone. The court would issue what might be called a "death warrant." The secret drone court would be modeled on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court that was created in 1978. This court approves...

Just pointing out this was something I noted in a thread sometime ago. I didn't forget about the links, some of them (and the supporting context) are found in some Chomsky lectures and other material that is somewhat "dense". There isn't an easy way of unpacking it all and there's different ways of going about it. However, you'll find that that theme mentioned above keeps coming up even from different perspectives.

If America can barely tolerate "her" kidnapped Africans, why the heck is she going to care about Africans in Africa? Aren't Drones capable of incinerating people sans a pilot? Well, well, well!! Africa, if you didn't have OIL, GOLD and DIAMONDS maybe you'd be able to live a little longer on your $1,125 per year. I'd love to see America's politicians try to exist on that for 5 years, and have it put on TV as a reality show. That would be some GREAT programming. I could watch it and not fall ...
