Inequality Before and After 9/11 by Paul Street I'll always remember the day I tried to engage in that silly exercise called "speaking truth to power." It was early December of 2001. Racism is treating people differently because of the race or culture to which they belong. In the last 500 years the 'white' race conquered and occupied much of the world and saw the people that they defeated as heathens and as inferior. One of the things that was considered inferior was their religion and following on after the soldiers came the missionaries.
