I'd like to point out my point about excessive bail. I'm posting here because it is the most recent thread on Trayvon Martin. It was noted that it is unconstitutional for excessive bail to be posted on a defendant in a criminal case. However, I just discovered this bail for a black man who committed a crime. From the article: " If convicted as charged, Solomon -- who is in jail on $3 million bail -- faces a maximum sentence of 26 years and eight month in state prison, the D.A. says. He is...

They both should have had a $3Million dollar bail. Child molestation, child rape and rape is a form of murder. So, as far as I'm concerned, this minister had murdered who that child is and was to become just as much as Zimmerman murdered Trayvon Martin. The only leeway I would give the minister would be the fact that there is always a possibility that the child lied, because sometimes children lie or are coached into making statements that are untrue, otherwise, you gotta pick another case...

Well, I'd say you're absolutely right, Yemaya!!! But remember ... all those city officials ((judges, mayor, police chief, etc.,) are voted into their positions by the kinds of people that live there ... (and helped by those who don't vote for somebody else!! ) ... and so of course they're going to support 'one of their own' (his Daddy is a retired judge) to whatever extent they possibly can. Especially against somebody Black ... and/or his family. Hell ... they wouldn't even arrest the man.

I said a while back that in my opinion George Zimmerman was a flight risk. Today the judge agreed. Considering that he and his wife had $135K in the bank at the time of his bail hearing AND had new passports in a safety deposit box. Neither of which came up at the bail hearing. Now is punk ass is going to be jail where he should've been in the first place. Right where he belongs.

Also, I wonder if the government has frozen his accounts?? Or tried to have his passport revoked. Because he never showed up for court AND his whereabouts have been private since the bail hearing.

Re: Trayvon Martin: The Latest, Week 13

Which is the FIRST thing they should have done (at least revoked his passports), which let you know that they are trying to give this a-hole as much help as they possibly can. I wouldn't be surprised if he is found guilty, that the court will then let him stay out of prison long enough to "get his affairs in order" (they Can do that, but usually only save that for White people), without his passports having been revoked.
