Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao, a woman of color , used the expected rightwing half-truth tactic to defend the administration's record on mine safety enforcement. She said that federal inspectors had "increased their inspections [at the Sago mine] by about 84 percent." That's only half true . Though inspectors increased their inspections at Sago, what Chao didn't say was that the inspections clearly documented the unsafe conditions at the mine: Nearly half of the 208 safety citations levied...

The ECONOMIC UNIT is just an abstract representation for many possible economic entities that all have certain things in common. It could be a single person living alone. It could be a family of 4. It could be a hippy commune. It could be a multi-billion dollar corporation. In some ways you could compare it to a water tank. Water flowing in is income. Water flowing out is expenses. But the tank is not prefect, there is leakage from the bottom which is depreciation. A single man living alone...

Though micro and smaller-sized braids may provide a more realistic look, I recommend a medium to large size braiding style, especially if you are planning to keep the braids in your hair for more than two months. I wear micro braids, but I also have my braids redone quite often. It's expensive, but because I prefer very small braids, I can't keep the braids in my hair for too long if I don't want to risk losing my hair. It's also important to get a braiding style that you can wash. Ideally,...
