Okay ... I have to admit that I found this article - with all it's facts and figures and sectioning and analyzing - somewhat confusing. I think I understand where he was trying to go ... but, I don't think I agree with his analysis in its entirety. I mean, I think there's no disputing that our youth are "under-engaged" in the political process. At least as far as actual VOTING is concerned. And I do believe that intellectually , many of our young people know and understand politics at a rate...

I don't get it. How come the President or his "handlers" don't want to "target" minorities (blacks) with POLICY, yet, its ok to target them to get their vote? In other words, the president believes its ok to target minorities (blacks) to HELP THE PRESIDENT, but the president does not believe its right to target minorities TO HELP THE MINORITIES (blacks). What the f'ck happened to the rising tide theory? His POLICY should raise the tide for everyone....meaning minorities (blacks) and whites...

Considering that the President broke records in his 2008 campaign for raising money over the Internet from small individual donations and through grassroots efforts from individual Americans and supporters .... and is on pace to collect as much if not more in this upcoming election ... I would say that he HAS changed the way election fundraising happens. No other candidate had - or has since - received the kind of individual donor, non-corporate tainted money support that the President has.

So we VOTE!! We get the same old shit no matter who's in office. I've been on the planet for awhile, nothing changes that much. Hatred's still on-going full force. White people are white people; black people are black people; never the trains shall meet. Whether you vote or not, someone's going to get in office and we're still going to be begging and pleading and they're going to keep saying "Nigger please!!

There should be all kinds of platforms to vote. It's some serious "shyte" going on. I see 18 years olds registering. Use to be you'd had to drag them to the polls. I just remember when the freedom riders died so folks could vote in the South. So this is some deep shyte and it should be recognized as something that needs to be DONE now. Otherwise? Can't complain. Already Kavanaugh is agreeing with Trump regarding immigration. Who knows what's next. Abortion laws changed? Jim Crow revisited?

Between the UNCONSTITUTIONAL "gerrymandering", the UNCONSTITUTIONAL AND ILLEGAL 'purging' of REGISTERED VOTERS, along with closing half the voting polls in most states and/or last minute changing of where people go to vote, not to mention, the tampering with and/or RIGGING the voting machines to begin with, to enable republicans to continously "win" by STEALING ELECTIONS, it almost doesn't matter who's registered or how many people vote.

It is still a hater’s paradise. Trump’s topmost strategist is bigot, Steve Bannon, a known racist who also said that he didn't want his kids "going to school with Jews." Trump is not a formal Stormfront guy but Bannon as his top strategist insures that a bestial racist platform are part of Trump’s offering.

Exactly; and to insure himself a second term, Trump has to keep blowing that racist dog whistle his entire first term. Really, even if Trump wanted to tone down on the racist rhetoric and try to restore a more democratic and racially tolerant climate, his stacking his administration with America's most vile racists, won't allow it to happen.

He loves Trump as do smiling dictators waving to us around the world. The US lost its way and yielded to the global wave of fascism.
