No, not at all. Pragmatic education means equipping them with the necessary skills to function in a capalistic society that now requires one to have access to credit and using banking systems. Also to understand basic economics and entrepreneurialism and how they effect our communities. I oppose it. Period. Here's why - it actually leaves MOST children behind. The program skims a few off the top leaving most children behind in the poor performing school. What about them? What about the vast majority who won't be able to be accommodated - for whatever reason - in private schools? The vast majority - like 99% - of Americans are in public schools. Private schools couldn't accommodate all of those public school kids even if they wanted to (and you know they don't want to!).
