Re: Julian Bond, former NAACP chairman, hopes activists of today learn civil rights history

It would be wonderful if Black people realized that there was non-violent face to the Civil Rights movement as well as a self-defense/armed side also. The way that the white media has spun as if there was some sort of opposing view between the two and that the non-violent philosophy is far superior. When in fact they worked hand in hand for what they felt would be black liberation and to get white people off our backs.

Julian Bond, who was a founding member of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee and a chairman of the NAACP, passed away at his home in Florida on Saturday, August 15. His determination and commitment to justice is why we will hold fast to Julian Bond’s memory. His reach extends far beyond his...

That's some excellent advice my sista! But there is one thing I am anal about in articles written to the public: SPELL CHECK. For example I was fine with this article until I saw " Limit the consumption of processed meat and read meat” It should say "red meat." And when I can catch it I always do [sp] if I don't have the time to spell a word correctly but this is message board so the standards are a little different. So...my question is how many hands did this article go through before it...

Washington : DC : USA | Mar 03, 2013 at 6:11 AM PST By Herbert Dyer, Jr. Reporters listen to U.S. President Barack Obama speak about the sequester after he met with congressional leaders at the White House in Washington As is being widely reported, President Barack Obama signed an order Friday night authorizing the reduction of $85 billion from federal accounts. What was the on line storage capacity of most computers in 1991 when the Internet first took off? I think I still had only 20 megabytes at the time. I was not storing movies on my computer. I had lots of VHS tapes. Now I have 700 gigabytes. But I spend time wading through lots of crappy information on the Internet. The problem is QUALITY OF INFORMATION . If I had lots of high quality information stored on my computer I would use the Internet a lot less. Is that what advertisers and ISPs...

There is too much crap, advertisement, deliberate misinformation and there is far less credible sources and...

Xum I don't think you are regarded as one of the people wearing the tin foil hats at all, because at least you know what you are talking about and speak of things based in fact or science, rather than an over active imagination or refusal to take your meds. When this guy leaves office, there's going to be heaps of people jumping for joy, if he and Kim Jong Un don't go nuclear upon the world first!!! Hopefully, everyone on Capitol Hill won't be locked up for screwing every woman, man, transexual, dog, cat, that walked their way since their inception in politics. At this stage of the game no one knows.

What they are doing should be considered an act of treason. Racist extremists and Big Business has staged a coup d 'etat on this country and Trump rode in on their coattail. Nearly every member of Congress should be impeached, tried and convicted for allowing this country to be taken over by racist extremists and corporations and billionaires, and for their collusion with these groups make possible in the first place.

The only difference between Trumpf and Hitler is the raising of the right hand when he walks by. Folks everywhere love to follow these killer, murderous "leaders." All they do is count money, grab pussies and dicks and have prisoners dig your graves. The ultimate GANGBANGERS with no semblance of a penis anywhere. Little dickie wickies. (President Obama is nowhere included in this rant.)
