OK, I have to put in my two cents. The fact of the matter is that a tablet or netbook that costs $300 or less but is more powerful than a mainframe that cost $3,000,000 in 1980. I really don't think people get this. The mainframe was the IBM 3033. I took a maximum of 32 megabytes of memory and that was regarded as A LOT until around 1990. But now a smartphone comes with more than 512 megabytes. Think about that! Smartphones come with SIXTEEN TIMES as much memory as mainframes from the 80s.

Yeah ... I remember there was a MAJOR media blitz for the last 2000 Census!! In particular, they were trying to target the Hispanic population (esp. the illegal immigrants) by saying that ALL they wanted to do was take a count ... and that no other authorities would be called/alerted to their presence. This advertisement seems to be targeting African Americans ... and I'm sure they probably have one for Asians, Native Americans, Whites and Hispanics, as well.

This is going to continue until Americans stand up and take their country back from the clutches of corporate greed and their political puppet politicians. Republicans are not going to stop until they turn this country into a bleak Dicken's novel, where the 98% are the peasants at each other's throats for any crumb the 1% has even a whim to throw at them.

For me its not about tax cuts, and that is a non-issue. What ticks me off is that our tax dollars are not being used to raise our level of living, but rather to line the pockets of officials from the White House to the State house and Governor's mansion. What about our taxes going up in the state while services are being cut???? That needs to be addressed.
