At any rate, the answer to the thread question is neither party has put us in power.
I don't know which party has appointed more Black folk to "major roles", but I would imagine the republican party, and more specifically, this Bush administration.
But so what? The answer remains that neither party has put us into a position of power; only positions of responsibility for carrying out their agenda. Which, in case you haven't noticed, in the case of the democratic agenda, sometimes, and in the case of the republican agenda, most of the time, runs contrary to the interests of Black folk.
While I respect Condoleeza Rice, Collin Powell, Clarence Thomas, et al., let me paraphrase an eternal question: What profit a man or his people should he gain the world and lose his soul?
Oh, and BTW, your veil is pretty thin.
