The Texas 10% was supposed to be the "replacement" for Affirmative Action. It was supposed to pacify us. It's working in our benefit and "they" can't stand it!
As a side note, Prairie View is also apart of the UT system. It was mandated that it had to not only accept more white students, but also has to actively go out and try to recruit them in order to continue to receive State funds. So, thinking of HBCU's as a safe haven for our children is about to be thrown out the window as well. Soon.
