It's their movies, their make-believe, their "let's pretend". They can paint themselves any color they so choose, play the parts of anyone they wish to be. Bottom line when they get back to their natural selves, they're still pasty, long haired people that look nothing like they do with any kinds of makeup no matter what color they pretend to be.
We don't have to aggravate ourselves by going to any of their movies. I always wanted to know who taught Fred Astaire to dance the way he did. He wasn't born that way, no other white man has done the dancing better; why was it never mentioned which black man stepped his way to teach him and his sister?
Al Jolson played black face so damn much, his bones are probably black right now. Eddie Cantor was another silly dude who rolled his eyes all around, painted himself black, looked like 60 buffoons and made zillions at the black man's expense. I don't know how folks laughed years ago in the movies.
I remember when I was young, I thought Jerry Lewis was funny with Dean Martin; when I got older, I wondered "why?" He didn't do black face; but he really wasn't funny either IMO.
There's something wrong with these people, we really shouldn't get too riled about movies. All kinds of reality's going to kick our black behinds if Donald Trump becomes president or perhaps if any of these things pretending to be people become president. We need to be concerned about the country we're living or trying to live in.
Whoever that first dude is at the top painted black really looks like he could have been touched by the tar brush without the paint. A lot of them are, you know; a heap of them. Just where did white folks originate anyway???? Who are they; what are they???
