Reply to "RWANDA'S SECRET WAR"

"A powerful Tutsi lobby in Washington" ?!?!?

So we have the NRA, Big Tobacco, the Christian Coalition, and the Tutsi tribe. I suppose they've got the neoconservatives in the House & Senate in their back pockets...

At the moment, I have my doubts as to the truthfulness of a lot of this article's contents.

On another point, this war demonstrates that even African people view black life as cheap. I try to follow this situation (it's not easy), and one thing I dont't get is Kagame's apparent willingness to discuss peace options that don't actually involve the handing over of the Interahamwe so they can face justice for 1994. The guy is a Tutsi himself, and I would think that a Tutsi would agree to nothing that didn't involve the return of all Interahamwe in the DRC so they can be dealt with. It's all about greed and personal power. On all sides. This is why no matter what the West does (good or bad), these regions will have a hard time ever amounting to much. Even the vilest acts against ones people mean nothing compared to your own possibility of personal material gain.
