lol... So you are blind too huh?

Didn't everything feel too close or too far away at first compared to glasses?

Are you near sighted or far sighted?

YIPPEEEEE!!! ... I was finally able to get the things out ... Eek ...

Am I blind?

Ironically. Very. Nearsighted.

At first it seemed like everything was sorta out of focus. It took awhile to adjust.

Just curious, what prompted the switch to contacts?

I went in for an eye exam and to update my prescription. To be honest, I just wanted to get new glasses and go about my business. I have astigmatism and for the longest time they didn't make contacts suitable for me. So I've just gotten accustomed to wearing glasses. It's become a part of my persona.

But the optometrist said that not only are there suitable contacts now ... but that a fitting would be covered by my insurance. It would cost me nothing extra to get fitted for a complimentary pair of contacts.

But it was quite an ordeal. I actually had to go in TWICE in order to get the hang of putting them in and taking them out.

There's just something unnatural - or at the very least contrary to everything my mother taught me - about poking your fingers into your eye.

I've had them in all day. It was actually pretty cool.

But my eyes started to get really irritated.

Now I'm just happy I was able to remove them all by my lonesome at home.

I'm undecided at this point whether I'm going to go in for a year's supply.
