I was able to catch the funeral on C-Span last night. It was one of the most beautiful funerals I have ever seen. Reverend Lowery was not the only one who made GW feel uncomfortable. I believe that GW has put himself in the position of being uncomfortable because of his tunnel vision. He truly is mostly everything negative that black people expect white leadership to be. He is the extreme negative. Basically, with the way he's treated us as a people these last few years, he got the exact reception that he has often given us. Serves him right. One can hope that he opens his eyes to see how his domestic and foreign policies have affected him here at home.
And Bernice King gave a wonderful eulogy of her mother. Which, if would have stayed, would've added an additional level of discomfort to GW.
Another point I'd like to make is the fact that the 10,000 African-Americans in attendance give or take about 50, gave Bill Clinton a long standing ovation upon his entry and departure. And gave applause during his talk. We afforded more respect to former President Clinton than to the current president. That must've gotten under his skin too. LOL
