I commend you, Marvin Stewart, former Board Director of the Minuteman Project and other Minutemen, for your understanding of a most important function of all elected officials and the duty of elected officials to respect the Constitution and his or her oath of office when serving U.S. citizens and legal immigrants.

Stop making excuses for these misfits.  Furthermore evidently you are not being truthful, because Barack Obama is not the only black elected official/public servant that I, and/or other individuals from within the Black community, have shown contempt for and rightfully so, and for the past few decades few if any Caucasians, or Republicans hold office in South Central Los Angeles, Compton, Detroit, Oakland, New Orleans, Baltimore, Atlanta, Washington, DC., etc., etc., communities presently or formerly predominated by U.S. born blacks, but now consumed by droves of illegal immigrants with the blessing of no good elected Black leaders, and/or a dysfunctional running from the Black underclass Black middleclass .

Finally, your  response does not take into account U.S. born black men who did not volunteer, but who were drafted, with the reality of penal incarceration for refusing the Draft, who served during WW1, WWII, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, etc., etc., while both past and present day elected black leaders, lawyers, and a dysfunctional black middleclass betray the Black community daily!

I remember a few years ago that veteran adminstration wouldn't accept soldiers[no matter what race] suffering PSTD because it cost tooooo much money to treat them-even though the veteran administration had over 100 billion dollars in federal money [just like the medical system, the veteran administration too is a money making industry for research not treatment].  So the legacy of this incompetency continued to occur in both Bush adminstrations-not just here recently.  So if you are saying that the history of this country has been inclusive of dismissing black military folks?  Well I agree.

But!  This country has been dismissing MOST military folks fighting for our nation since the French/Ameica war!!!This is not anything new...except now it has been exposed more publically and the American people are becoming more active in addressing the military needs after they come to shore.  It is a slow process true.  But it has been ignored for years and now that is on the table for public view blame has been slinging toward the current administration UNFAIRLY.  First you need to talk to Andrew Jackson, then Roosevelt[sp] fast foward to Kennedy, Johnson, etc before coming to Obama.    But!
