The Paganism doesn't bother me since I am one(a pagan). It's the domination and acceptance of Euro-Paganism that drives me nuts...and the commercialism. If _we_ are gonna be ok with, and enjoy, a fat man and deer flying in the sky, trimming trees, and the yule log, then we should also be fine with our own(and other people's/cultures) historical/cultural paganism. An Egungun(ancestor) costume and few chicken sacrifices...and/or burn some ancestrally empowered Ta Chiu paper horses and fast for a month while reading a religious book...while spinning a dradle..._something_ other than Euro-peganism{Saturnalia, Mithraism}..every culture has it's pagan winter solstice celebration...Let's have a multi-cultural Pagan one for the Gods' sakes!...At least it would be fair, politically correct, and well balanced!

Happy ChristmaTaChiuHanuRamadaKwanzaaakka everyone!

And as the ancient African multi-genious Imhotep said...

_"Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow you will die!"_

P.S. My favorite Euro-Pagan contradiction of "the season" is Nativity sceens that simultaneousely include palm trees and SNOW!(let alone the white Jesus, Mary, and Joseph)

_{Paganism, in the broadest sense includes all religions other than Christianity, Judaism, and Mohammedanism. The term is also used as the equivalent of Polytheism (q.v.). It is derived from the Latin pagus, whence pagani (i. e. those who live in the country), a name given to the country folk who remained heathen after the cities had become Christian. Various forms of Paganism exist(e.g. Brahminism, Buddhism, Mithraism)_

You are a pagan? What's your religion?
