This is the SAME grandson who set fire in the house that killed Betty Shabazz...right? Hummmmmmm. Okay. . I know he was a confused child at the time but I'm having a problem wondering what has he done positive in the years since. Cuz for a good while he has had problems with his mother to the point of violence and to the point where they couldn't live in the same house. Both have psychological issues. Plus he's been in and out of prison since the "fire." So it will be very interesting to know what this young brotha is REALLY up to. But!
Unfortunately Kocolicious, you bring up some good points. The family does have some very serious unresolved issues surrounding the death of their father. These unresolved issues have manifested into many of the problems the family is experiencing today. Its sad. Who wants to experience actually seeing their father being murdered, being told to just get over it (that's what many black people were told at that time when experiencing events such as this) and facing physical threats against the lives of your family members knowing they've already killed your father. I believe his mother was suffering under extreme PTSD while trying to raise him needing help herself.
A while back we were wondering why the King children were bickering and such... now I can understand why. I feel a great deal of sympathy for them and all children who have experienced this type of trauma.
