Frankly, these days, it is ridiculous to consider racism outside the scope of black dominance in pro sports, number one television shows and movies, black stars abound everywhere, black presidential candidates, even Michael Jackson thrilled the white world for decades.
Can you recognize that all of those examples are exceptions and not the average? Are the exceptions enough for you to ignore what is really happening in regards to racism to the avg black person?
Look great things have happened to me too but trust me I had to overcome and still deal with racist attitudes along the way. But does it mean since I'm doing OK that racism is not an issue?
Many new studies proves racism certainly plays a serious role on how high qualified black people fly.
In the building I work there is a black financial company and they are doing very well, why? Because they are getting the best and brightest black people to work for them, why were they available in the first place, because they were not getting the same promotion and job considerations similar to whites.
And those who are employed there feel very lucky and blessed to work for a black firm that treats them according to their success and ability which can not be said for many black folks in the working world today.
The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.
