Reply to "It Doesn't Look Like We've Lost Jobs, in fact a gain of 2.6 million MORE jobs under Bush!"

Nmaginate have a good point. What does it matter to the black community if many white people with or without higher education, with or without criminal record are finding work and yet the black populace with or without higher education, with or without criminal record are not having similar success?

SGT, what does it matter to the black community how well Bush does if the fruits of his administration does not positively impact African Americans who are not getting similar job considerations. This is the reality, what matters to me is not so much who is the blame which is important indeed, but what we as a people do about it.

I read the study that white men with criminal records were getting more job consideration than black men without a criminal record and with higher qualifications.

Sgt, it is OK to be conservative and have a love for this country as long as you do not ignore the role of racism in our society and the impact it has on the black community and when crap hits the fan you are right there in our corner bc weather you realize it or not, you are in the same boat with the rest of us as long as you are black.

I for one have little faith that things will ever change in the short term and I feel black people should focus on creating, maintaining our own black business culture we should be biased with who and where we spend our money to help alleviate the impact of biased white employers. I really feel we will sink or swim on our own merits by us for us.

The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.
