Reply to "Hollywood Didn’t Want to Fund ‘Red Tails’ Because It Was All Black"

"Of course white people can put out movies about black people. they have set up the economy, the culture and other dynamics to make it so that they have most of the resources. DUH."

Ha! Ha! Ha! That’s funny. Negroes pick and choose what they want to support and what interest them. Suggesting that whites have unlimited resources for funding and production of movies/documentaries is true. No doubt. But this does not excuse Negroes from being self-imposed spectators while others document their history. Attempting to justify a faux pas argument “whites have resources and we don’t to make literature/media about our history”, is weak. American Negroes spend billions of dollars on entertainment and other interests. I support the literature and documentaries. Millions of others can do the same. They choose not to. Regardless of what you think of Tyler Perry’s movies, he receives grass root support that enables him to do so. His movies are very successful. Why? Because his core constituency and support comes from Negroes. There is no excuse for indifference or apathy about the history of your own people. Duhhhh…..
