I agree. I do think some so-called educated Black women not only think they are better than blue collar Black men but think they are above uneducated or less educated Black women-who are the founders and success stories of the Black experience. But! I have experienced this especially from Ph. D heifers. But! I know that I am capable or in some instances more capable than they are. Im not intimidated by what they know. Plus they are sooooo petty. One time I did a paper and it [the topic/idea] was stolen by another professor who merely changed the words around and tried to pretend it was her creation. They always talk about students committing plagiarism-what about professors who steal their students work? Or used students' work without permission for examples in class? That's still stealing. But I've met a lot of bougie so-called educated Black women and then I have met a lot of outstanding Black women who are supportive, change agents and are open to other women success regardless of background. So it depends on who they are. And for me? I never thought I was better than a blue collar man-there are many men in my family who are blue collar-it is the stable in many Black families. Plus the thought never cross my mind. I remember back in the day when I was told never to dumb down for a man. I was amazed because it was MEN telling me that. However, I do recall some educated women turning their noses down at postal workers, utility guys or a men working in retail and often times these very men made far more money with the ability to promote further in their blue collar career than some degreed Black women. I think it's foolish thinking and behavior. Cuz a man is a man is a man regardless of what he does for a living. This is one of the examples where I think Black men are treated unfairly...especially by those in their culture. See? Cuz why would an educated Black women discriminate against Black men based on a piece of paper? This is how we do it to each other-this is one of the painful ways we stick it to one another..... hard. And it needs to stop. Now. Cuz white women will take a black man unemployed and uneducated solely for the prize reward of his swinging pendulum. Why is it that educated Black women cannot accept Black men for who they are? What's missing in this cultural scenario? But!
