I'm thinking that since it's Tarantino, it may be interesting, and he probably would not be afraid to tell some hard truths about slavery.
What would be magnificent, would be if someone made a movie out of how Jamaicans freed themselves from slavery or how Haitian slaves declared war on their captors and won their freedom.
I hope many (accurate) movies will be made regarding slavery, jim crow, the Black Codes, and about racism and sexism in America or anywhere else in the world, since most young people don't even know their own history, and most young people won't read a book, but will watch a movie.
There is enough non-fiction/true Black history and/or American history and World history that is extremely interesting and explains so much of what is still wrong today, that our own history is never-ending wealth of fantastic stories that could be brought to the big screen. (Too bad more African Americans with money are not trying to do any of that, but rather, White or other race people are the ones that actually take a stab at it.)
