Yeah, without industry/jobs for people to make a living in the city of Detroit, I can see how it may still not matter to an average 'Joe', but I still think people with money should be buying up blocks of this city and sit on it until the economy changes and/or Detroit has been able to bring in industry and jobs. Also, there is not much property value in a beautifully renovated house when it is the only descent house in the whole neighborhood, but renovated blocks at a time make a big difference. Right now young Whites are buying up property in Detroit, taking that $150,000 that the city is offering to renovate the properties. If I has money I would take advantage of these virtual 'give-aways' of Real Property.
