The premise of the article is that it is illogical to compare the Asian American experience to the African American experience to begin with, let alone only comparing the negatives withing African America to only the positives withing Asian America.
White privilege has more to do with sheer racism and racist attitudes than it does with wealth, status, or even whether or not a person has been arrested. This is evidenced by the fact that no matter the wealth, status or even a spotless arrest record, spares Black people from the same racism experienced by poor, non-influential Blacks with or without an arrest record.
White privilege is really merely the fact that White don't have to go through what Black people go through in America, merely because they are White, regardless of the White person's wealth, status or arrest record.
Also, there no such thing and "Yellow Previlige" [as the author alluded to]; there is only tolerance of Asians in America (and mainly because they are here in such low numbers to begin with), and because the main focus of White racism to too busy hating on Black people, that Asians are able to continue to fly below or above the racism radar.
