I'm really conflicted on how I should feel. On the one hand Ricardo, I understand completely how terrible it must be for some kid who signs up or makes a promise based on misconceptions of the military and then feels great regret.
But on the other hand, we REALLY need more troops. There is no way we're going to be able to just up and up pull out of this quagmire without terrible repercussions for generations to come. The only way we're getting out is if we stick it out, we change our priorities to meet the needs of the war (International Public Relations Anyone?) but we have to keep fighting now that we have gotten in so deep. These counter-recruiters are assisting in prolonging the larger conflict by reducing our capacity to fight. An undersized army can't be fighting on so many fronts, no matter its' training and technology.
