Before I ask you a couple of clarifying questions, let me just say that Rep. Marion Berry of Arkansas was a big, ol', country, corn-fed white man who has probably never been out of Arkansas in his life!!



Anyway, I appreciate your answer very much. I certainly can understand your feelings about it ... you're right about showing the Cowboy the exit!
But just to see if I'm understanding you right ... are you in essence saying that Clark is a good candidate to rally around (at least in part) because of the fact that he has the best chance of collecting the majority of the White democratic/liberal vote, and so (so to speak) it wouldn't be a bad idea to jump on the train with the most smoke coming from it's stack? That he will get the most support from the "mainstream" democratic voting population?

Not that that's not a good enough reason (since as you said, the most important issue is to get GeeDub pushed out the back door ... and by any means necessary .. to quote Brother Malcolm!) I was just wondering if this is what you meant!
