Reply to "Casual Thoughts"

I wonder why we don't have a word in English for that thing people do with their mouths when they acknowledge somebody without saying hello. You know what I mean? When a person kind of clenches their lips tightly together and sort of folds them into each other? It's kind of a humble sort of expression, but it's common enough that there ought to be a name for it. That's MY casual thought for the day.

On second thought, to hell with "casual!" I seriously want to come up with a name for it. We have a word in English that means the line of a triangle opposite the right angle ("hypotenuse"), so we should have a word for something as common as this!! Even as busy as I am, I've always wondered about that. My goal is for a name for that expression to exist and get an entry in a Webster's dictionary in my lifetime. I want suggestions. I suggest "frimp." As in, "She nodded and frimped as she walked past him."

Anyway... smile
