Speaking of Casual Thoughts, I wanted to say a not-so-casual THANK YOU to JuneBug and OCatchings for their good advice re. staying focused. Glad to say that my Dad is doing well one week postop.
Other good coping mechanisms I found:
R-E-S-P-E-C-T at full volume on the expressway;
Movies on AMC late at night;
Chocolate, in any and all forms;
Lighting off the tires at the track and making a great run down the quarter mile. Made my fastest time ever, 114.4 mph and 11.74.
OCatchings, do you ever get to blow stuff up on purpose? Or release a whole lotta power in a very short time? I think that's a great stress buster, under the right conditions!
