I didn't even KNOW I had kidney ailment. I have no pain, NOTHING. I go to dialysis, get those two damned upholstery-like needles stuck in my arm, try to sit still for 3 hours without sounding off the machine's alarm as my blood gets cleansed, as the kidneys no longer do the job. We all sit in reclining chairs; most go to sleep, I do not; because I'm too nosy and just watch the nurses do their jobs; checking our blood pressure, and whatever else. I get up 3 times a week at 4:00 a.m. so I can be all spit-shined and polished when I get there at 6:00 a.m. My daughter sets my hair the night before, so when I get there, I hear how pretty I look and my head swells up like a dirigible. There are pluses to this mess for me. Some folks are really incapacitated, on walkers, have other illnesses combined with their kidney malfunction. I have none of that, so far, thank God!! I have to say that for my age, (ha, ha, ha) I do very well. No need for sympathy yet. If you saw me, you wouldn't have a nary clue as to age or kidney malfunction. Nope!!!!!
Not only that, if we could all get together we'd have a blast, guaranteed!!!
