Reply to "9 reasons newly appointed tea party senator, Tim Scott, is worse than you think"

Well ... I don't really care that he opposes a "progressive" agenda ... to me, Tim Scott represents a mentality that not only is 'not good' for African Americans ... but is actually purposefully detrimental and harmful.

It's one thing that these Tea Party types want to be fiscally 'hardcore' ... i.e., don't want to offer basic financial (gov't.) help to anybody in the belief that everyone should be helping themselves ...

But, when that unreasonableness extends to vulnerable populations like children and the elderly ... wanting to cut health care services for children, Social Security funds (which is not even the government's money, but belongs to those receiving it because they paid to receive it!), money for education and childhood development, and rejects government protection for people from unscrupulous capitalism/corporate greed .. then to me you are trying to hurt people that don't deserve it.

While people like him say they don't favor one group of people over another ... that's a lie because, if/when a choice needs to be made ...  they DO favor policies that support the (already) rich over policies that are designed to help poor people.

Tim Scott represents a state whose citizens - especially it's Black citizens - are among the poorest, least educated, least healthy, and most racially discriminated against in the entire country.  And nothing about his ideology (Tea Party/Conservative politics) promotes improving that condition in a way that is designed to see the residents of that state prosper.

He is more concerned with the state of South Carolina having money in the bank ... than he is about the condition of the people who live there.  To me that's inhumane.  And I don't like people like that.
