Great advice! Hal. Lay. Lu. Yer. Except that I didn't like how he refer to black young women as females. Females come in all species. You have female dogs, cats, cows, etc. If you gon respect yourself...you need to RESPECT black young women by calling them just that. Young Women! Cuz what if somebody called your mother a female? Wouldn't like it. Would you? And statistics say it is MEN who give 80% percent of STDs to women...so let's get that straight too. Already I'm having problems with his language when he talks about black women. Hey man...will you STOP calling black young women...females? Your message is off the top...but! It doesn't mean you should carry the torch by continuing throwing black women under the bus...cuz they? Have your children. Raised YOU. Are always there for YOU. You make it sound like we are out to get YALL. Not!
Having said that? It was an excellent commentary. He covered everything most young black men who listen to rap music will debate. Now. I said young black men...right? Didn't say males or thugs...did I.? My recommendation is: select what you respect. Cuz that respect will select YOU one day. And it's all about karma. Not that religious slave book. I'm so glad he didn't mention "church." Hal. Lay. Lu. Yer. Could that is something else young black men get caught up in...following an adult predator pedophile. I listened to this tape in its entirety. Young brotha is deep. He speaks the lingo most black youths understand. However, he must be careful not to continue the stereotype by calling young women...females. I hate that. I hate that. I. HATE. that. But just like any other human being? He's not perfect. And one day when he has a daughter and remember Mother's day....he'll reframe from saying it and give us black women the RESPECT we deserve. Right now? He still has a little milk on his breathe. I ain't mad at him one bit. What I am? Is ABSOLUTELY over the TOP....Proud! Cuz he got big dreams...and he is STILL growing into them. But!
