Because America lies soooo much about its founding history, let's not forget about the Marbleheaders

Although John Glover was a white man, his marbleheaders were black and native American soldiers who fought in the revolutionary war....in fact it was the  marbleheaders who were in the boat with George Washington.....not the one token black seen in the famous photo  standing up in the boat.  So here is a little info about them  i.e. marbleheaers that NEVER got in the history books.

John Glover Rescues George Washington

Washington moved his army to New York City in expectation that the British would strike the city. By June 30th 1776 130 British ships were at anchor in the harbor. On July 12th an additional 150 joined them and British forces numbered over 30,000 men. Washington faced this massive force with a poorly trained militia.

On August 27th General Howe attacked Long Island, and Washington took up a position on Brooklyn Heights. His men were in danger. Their limited ammunition made it a certainty that the men would be overrun and the American army destroyed.

Washington turned to his trusted friend John Glover. Glover and his men removed 9,000 men, their supplies and ammunition, horses, and artillery to Manhattan.

British losses were greater than at Long Island and the delay allowed Washington to move off to White Plains.

John Glover and Marblehead Militia holding off British
John Glover and his Marblehead Militia holding off the British advance.

As you can see in this picture, the marbleheads are depicted as white men.  Not!  This is how massa lies all the time.  Can't believe a word he says.

George Washington Crossing the Delaware

Although they survived, the American Army was in crisis. Morale was low, supplies were exhausted, and volunteers were nearing the end of their enlistment. Washington made a bold decisive move.

First, he convinced his troops to stay with him for a bit longer. And then, to cross a frozen Delaware River to attack the British garrison at Trenton.

Again Washington called on Glover. He and his men maneuvered the frozen river and a winter storm to transport troops, artillery, and supplies to the other side of the river.

For the third time Glover was pivotal in a successful outcome. The army crossed the river seized the garrison and captured over 900 Hessian mercenaries. Washington finally had a victory to boost morale and keep his men in the field. Without John Glover; Washington, his army, and the war might have been lost.

And Glover's men?  The slave and savage soldiers American history forgotten to mention.  And oh yeah....without these men?  The revolutionary war would have been lost alright.  Now I bet white folks don't talk about that....do they?  Hell no.  So this is WHY I continue to say although it's important to know American history....it is more important to know REAL World history with correct American history....not that whimsical make believe stuff designed to cater to the white  hero bullshyte....but the common sense account on WHAT REALLY HAPPENED in American history.  And with that?  Compare it or measure it to WORLD HISTORY and only then will black people REALLY know for sure their rightful place on this planet.  Otherwise......    But!

"Because America lies soooo much about its founding history, let's not forget about the Marbleheaders"

That statement makes me think of the claim of the Moorish Science Temple, (et. al), that America is really a Corporation, not a country, who's operation is illegal in its conception to begin with, due to the Treaty between Morroco and America being broken/violated.

That America is really Morroco [re the Africans/Blacks already here when the White man came were Morrocan/African/Moors], and that 'America' is really an Occupying entity, which is really the religious corporation of the Jesuits

This is supposed to be the Great Masonic Secret that has been kept hidden from the American people/citizens.

They do mention treaties that are real, etc., but each time I tried to make any sense of such a claim, I've only been able to see certain videos supposedly explaining all this, but each time, I only go away with the distinct feeling that I've been listening to a very good Flim/Flam Artist or something.

But, I still tend to think that there is some truth to these claims, however, whatever bits of truth still left is likely being grossly exploited, distorted or turned into some type of Ponzi/Flim/Flam scheme [or scam].

Any of you know anthing about any of this?  If so, please post something of clarity or truth, etc.

I only heard about the secret societies such as freemasonry, illuminati [ a bunch of elitism white men] and the followers of the Jesuit society during the enlightenment period when massa finally came out of the dark ages in his interpretation of the world.  It was then white theorists began congregating newly designed ideas on new world order.  Especially the illuminati group which was created in 1776, the same  year the declaration of independence was implemented.  So there could be a lot of similarities pointing to exactly what you are saying.  I wouldn't be surprised that initially those so-called "intellectual businessmen"  decided that America would be the new silk road to success from the wealth of human carnage.  This was tried in the pale settlements in eastern Europe....genocides were committed as a result.  So.  Again.  There could be something to this one order rule....however what many didn't bank on?  The people.    The individuals who made America the number one place for human freedom.  So.  This may be why America never fully became that corporate model for the world instead it became the beacon for world freedom.  And that's probably why those in power are pissed.  Personally don't give to much stock on these type of social rumors....only cuz I've only hear crazed folks talk about the secret society, big brother and the illuminati family...although some artists who pointed to the illuminati as the new world order are now "dead," I don't tie their sudden deaths to them  i.e. the illuminati.  I tie their death to circumstances within their environment...even when the news says death is undetermined.  I just think yes there could be a lot of possibilities [of secret societies...the klan being one of many] out there as to why America is the way it is.....but let's not forget that the great masonic secret came DIRECTLY from Egypt.  In fact, that WHOLE masonic freemasonry concept comes from our homeland.  So.  Massa lie about so much stuff about our rich history, I'm sure this is one of em.  But!

Hey my sista!  The marbleheaders were African American and Native American soldiers who helped John Glover save George Washington's ass and the revolutionary war.  If it were not for  them?  We would be drinking TEA instead of COFFEE.  Remember the famous picture of George Washington standing in the boat on the Delaware?  Well...in that boat?  Weren't white men but Blacks and Indians assisting him across the Delaware.  Ahhhh.  Massa don't wanna tell  that story truthfully....so he LIED.  And changed the color of skin of the soldiers involved with rescuing the then "new world."  Here is some insight on what happened and of course massa forgot to mention them in the history books.

COLONEL GLOVER and THE MARBLEHEADERS, ALONG WITH THREE OTHER MASSACHUSETTS REGIMENTS ( 750 TROOPS TOTAL) WERE SENT TO EASCHESTER TO PROTECT THAT PORTION OF THE COASTLINE. Glover spotted what he later reported to be “two hundred sail” offshore. Glover’s first thought was to seek the aid of a more experienced officer such as General Lee; however, he also realized the position he now held was geographically strong. Thus, he organized his defense by arranging the regiments in a specific manner, then gave the order for them to lie down and allow the enemy to come within range prior to raising up.

As the British troops approached the Marbleheaders’ location, the Americans stood, quickly fired volley after volley into the front ranks of the British, then HN GLOVER's CHARMING THIRD TIME AS SAVIOR OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION TOOK PLACE DURING WASHINGTON's NOW INFAMOUS CROSSING of THE DELAWARE RIVER. After battling the British at White Plains on October 28th, Washington’s army suffered defeat and retreated across the NORTH RIVER ( HUDSON RIVER) to begin a long and humiliating recoil across New Jersey. By the time they reached Philadelphia, troop morale was at an all-time low.

The light of Washington’s greatness as a military strategist now began to shine through. He realized an invading army could not conquer a country which had a garrison stationed in every city and town to maintain control. Thus, he decided his best chance at turning the situation around in his favor was to go back across the Delaware with what was left of his meager force and attack one of the garrison towns. According to intelligence gathered, Trenton proved to be the most vulnerable. Washington’s persona played a valuable part in him being able to convince a good many of his soon-to-depart troops to stay the course with him a bit longer. Once this was accomplished, the next major challenge to conquer was crossing the Delaware River in the middle of winter. ONCE MORE, JOHN GLOVER and THE MARBLEHEADERS came to Washington’s rescue.

When Washington approached Glover for the solution, the response he received was, “not to be troubled about that, as his boys could manage it.” Using Durham boats, Glover’s men began to ferry the army across the ice choked Delaware River as dusk fell. If the river’s ice did not provide enough of a challenge, Mother Nature amused herself by tossing in a snow storm around 11:00 p.m. and reduced their visibility to practically nothing.

While this was going on, General Henry Knox, who served as General Washington’s Chief of Artillery, sensed the wet weather would nullify the effectiveness of the soldiers’ primer powder. Consequently, he realized the importance the artillery would play in the success of the mission and supervised the loading of 18 cannons on the boats.

THIS PARTICULAR EVENING, THE WORTH OF THE MARINERS OF COLONEL GLOVER's MARBLEHEADERS EQUALED THAT OF A DOZEN OTHER REGIMENTS. WITHOUT THEM, THE LIKELYHOOD VICTORY AT THE BATTLE OF TRENTON WAS WHICH CHANGED THE TIDE OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION WOULD HAVE BEEN MINIMAL AT BEST. Instead, the crossing was not only successfully completed; Trenton fell into the hands of the American patriots. In addition the Mariners collected brass cannons, desperately needed supplies and 918 British prisoners. The success at Trenton became one of the major turning points leading to the patriots’ triumph in the American Revolution.

Rhode Island

Rhode Island (i/ˌrdˈlənd/, officially the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, is a state in the New England region of the United States. Rhode Island is the smallest in area, the eighth least populous, and the second most densely populated (behind New Jersey) of the 50 U.S. states; its official name is also the longest of any state in the Union. Rhode Island is bordered by Connecticut to the west, Massachusetts to the north and east, and the Atlantic Ocean (via Rhode Island Sound and Block Island Sound) to the south.

On May 4, 1776, Rhode Island became the first of the Thirteen Colonies to renounce its allegiance to the British Crown, and later, was the fourth to ratify—February 9, 1778—the Articles of Confederation between the newly sovereign states. It boycotted the 1787 convention that drew up the United States Constitution, and initially refused to ratify it. On May 29, 1790, Rhode Island became the thirteenth and last state to ratify the Constitution.

1st Rhode Island Regiment

The 1st Rhode Island Regiment was a Continental Army regiment from Rhode Island during the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783). Like most regiments of the Continental Army, the unit went through several incarnations and name changes. It became well known as the "Black Regiment" because, for a time, it had several companies of African American soldiers. It is regarded as the first African-American military regiment, despite the fact that its ranks were not exclusively African-American.

History

Varnum's Regiment

Like many Continental Army regiments, the 1st Rhode Island was initially formed by a colonial or state government before being taken into the national (or "Continental") army. The revolutionary Rhode Island Assembly authorized the regiment on 6 May 1775 as part of the Rhode Island Army of Observation. The regiment was organized on 8 May 1775 under Colonel James Mitchell Varnum, and was therefore often known as "Varnum's Regiment". It consisted of eight companies of volunteers from Kent and King Counties.

American Revolution

The American Revolution was a political upheaval that took place between 1765 and 1783 during which colonists in the Thirteen American Colonies rejected the British monarchy and aristocracy, overthrew the authority of Great Britain, and founded the United States of America.

Starting in 1765, members of American colonial society rejected the authority of the British Parliament to tax them without colonial representatives in the government. During the following decade, protests by colonists—known as Patriots—continued to escalate, as in the Boston Tea Party in 1773 during which patriots destroyed a consignment of taxed tea from the Parliament-controlled and favored East India Company. The British responded by imposing punitive laws—the Coercive Acts—on Massachusetts in 1774, following which Patriots in the other colonies rallied behind Massachusetts. In late 1774 the Patriots set up their own alternative government to better coordinate their resistance efforts against Great Britain, while other colonists, known as Loyalists, preferred to remain aligned to the British Crown.

The Return of the Living Dead

The Return of the Living Dead is a 1985 American black comedy/zombie horror film written and directed by Dan O'Bannon and starring Clu Gulager, James Karen, and Don Calfa.

The film tells the story of how three men accompanied by a group of teenage punks deal with the accidental release of a horde of brain hungry zombies onto an unsuspecting town. The film is known for introducing the popular concept of zombies eating brains, as opposed to just eating human flesh, like previous zombie iterations, as well as its soundtrack, which features several noted deathrock and punk rock bands of the era. The film was a critical success and performed moderately well at the box office. It later spawned four sequels.

Plot

At a medical supply warehouse in Louisville, Kentucky, foreman Frank tries to impress the company's newest employee, Freddy, by showing him military drums that contain the remains of an army experiment gone wrong that inspired the film Night of the Living Dead. Frank accidentally unleashes the toxic gas inside the barrel, knocking them unconscious, and reanimating a corpse inside a meat locker, forcing the pair to call their boss Burt to help them deal with the situation. The three are able to dismember the cadaver and Burt decides to bring the remains to the nearby mortuary so it can be burned by his friend, Ernie. Elsewhere, Freddy's girlfriend, Tina, and his group of friends wait for him to finish work by messing around in a nearby graveyard.

They all had one thing in common, they all had a desire to be free.

Travel video about destination Rhodes in Greece. Rhodes is the largest island of the Dodecanese, a group of Greek islands located in the southeast of the Aegean Sea just off the west coast of Turkey. Since antiquity its unique location has brought it both power and wealth. On the northernmost tip of the island is the fascinating metropolis of Chora Rodos whose harbor entrance was once adorned by the Seventh Wonder of The World, the Colossus of Rhodes. But the legendary lighthouse has long since gone and today, excursion boats and yachts crowd the island’s former trading harbor that has a rich and dramatic past.Byzantines, Arabs, The Knights of the Order of St. John, Ottomans and Italians, each one influenced the ever-changing history of the island that was first settled in 400 B.C.At the city’s highest point is the huge palace of the Grand Master, the monumental junction of the Street of the Knights and the command post of the Christian order. The Grand Master was the highest dignitary of the Order of the Knights of Malta, a lifetime office. The Street of the Knights leads from the Palace of the Grand Master down the hill to the Hospital, a unique ensemble of Gothic medieval architecture set amid the Mediterranean. The main buildings of the various groups of knights were erected along the main street and it was here that the knights met and conferred according to their membership of various European regions.Rhodes is an island steeped in history as well as the calm lifestyle of the Mediterranean.

The nation of Greece is best known for it's 1000's of islands which are scattered about the Aegean Sea and Rhodes island is proud to be one of them. This is where travelers flock every year to take in the sunshine and clear waters. They are all rich in history, each having played their own part in the birthplace of Western civilization. Some were inhabited once and are now abandoned, others have had people living on since 1000 BC. Rhodes is also called Rhodos, sometimes Rodos, whereas in spanish and portuguese languages you can find as Rhodas. Rhodes, in the Dodecanese island chain located just off the coast of Turkey, is an island that is rich in history, covered with large swathes of parkland, forest and beaches that cater to all different tastes. It is the fourth largest island in the Aegean with fantastic connections to all other islands and the mainland. In Rhodes there is a huge variety of accommodation to choose from, to suite everyone from backpackers doing the European trail, to luxury seekers wanting something a bit more decadent. Even in the smallest towns of Rhodes you won't have trouble finding a little local taverna. In fact, some of the best food on the island can be had in these little family run places. As a great fan of the H2G2 world this project was meant to be a tribute to the amazing work of Douglas Adams. Taking inspiration from the ironic mood of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and from the characteristic animations of the movie the decision was to show iconic objects and characters from the series. The titles run showing a story not told in the series itself, the travel of the dolphins escaping from a condemned planet Earth. Characters and titles interact creating a unique storytelling during the whole clip. Their purpose... to keep alive, the history of the thousands of men and women of color who were active in the American Revolution. Some joined the Colonial forces in the struggle to form a nation governed by the people and independent from the rule of King George the III of England. Others were motivated by a promise of freedom. They all had one thing in common, they all had a desire to be free.
